TRIO SPERANZA & QUARTETTO CAPRICCIO are “classical” ensembles consisting of woodwinds, violin and/or viola and ‘cello. These groups distinguish themselves with their enormous repertoires which encompass music from all of the classical periods in addition to jazz, Broadway and ethnic favorites from the American, English, French, Italian, and Jewish traditions. Trio Speranza and Quartetto Capriccio are ideal choices for wedding ceremonies and formal concerts as well as in background settings for dinners or cocktail parties.

THE WINSTON SYNERGY SOUND is Yochanan’s “flagship” ensemble and is one of the most exciting new orchestras to come on the scene in many years. “WSO” is a true high-end band ranging in size from seven pieces to its larger setting of sixteen pieces. The unique concept of “Embedded add-ons,” including a large string section and a native-singing salsa band are intended to create precisely the right atmosphere for your event by custom tailoring the band to your needs. THE JAZZ ENSEMBLES OF YOCHANAN SEBASTIAN WINSTON - revue the enclosed Client List, listen to the examples on the website, read the repertoire list; our quality, professionalism, experience and versatility are unmatched. Ensemble sizes can range from solo sax to seventeen piece big bands. The instrumentation can include most combinations of sax & flute accompanied by keyboard, bass, guitar, drums, brass and/or percussion. Vocals are available with every ensemble. These bands can play background or “foreground,” for dancing or listening and for concerts or cocktail parties. Fulfilling song requests and meeting the client’s needs are the groups’ specialties.

“SPECIALITY” ENSEMBLES

NUAGE (“Clouds” in French) is a new age group, which uses woodwinds, synthesizers, percussion, guitar and bass. Its’ repertoire is mostly original, very improvisational and lightly ethereal. Influences include Enya, Windham Hill, Lorenna McKennett, Mark Isham and other masters of the genre.

THE KLEZMANIACS (aka “Kick Ass Klez”) is a flexible ensemble focusing on the cutting edge, contemporary sounds of Radical Jewish Culture. This is a “no holds barred” art band, suitable for formal concerts and private events only. Don’t expect your favorite Jewish oldies here!

THE BASS FLUTE REVEALED - the “Music Doctor” really is a doctor, sort of. He was awarded the Ph.D. in Theoretical/Experimental Studies from the University of California for his original research on the bass flute. “The Bass Flute Revealed” is a unique alternative to the tired sight of strolling violins. This act is both visually and sonically alluring and it is sure to make your special event the talk of the town for months to come!
